The European Union Clinical Trials Register allows you to search for protocol and results information on:
  • interventional clinical trials that are conducted in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA);
  • clinical trials conducted outside the EU / EEA that are linked to European paediatric-medicine development.
  • Learn   more about the EU Clinical Trials Register   including the source of the information and the legal basis.

    The EU Clinical Trials Register currently displays   36348   clinical trials with a EudraCT protocol, of which   5989   are clinical trials conducted with subjects less than 18 years old.
    The register also displays information on   18700   older paediatric trials (in scope of Article 45 of the Paediatric Regulation (EC) No 1901/2006).

    Examples: Cancer AND drug name. Pneumonia AND sponsor name.

    E.2 Objective of the trial
    E.2.1Main objective of the trial
    The primary obejctive of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of repeated doses of oral misoprostol after initial vaginal misoprostol for the medical treatment of missed abortion. The hypothesis is that treatment with repeated doses of misoprostol increases the proportion of patients who abort during the same day the treatment is administered.
    E.2.2Secondary objectives of the trial
    The secondary objectives are evaluation of efficacy, bleeding time and side effects at follow up after one, two, three and five weeks and to evaluate the acceptance of this treatment.
    E.2.3Trial contains a sub-study No
    E.3Principal inclusion criteria
    Patients with missed abortion with visible fetal structures without progress in time or stable or sinking levels of s-hcg, over 18 years of age and in good general health, opting for medical treatment and willing to participate in the study will be included.
    E.4Principal exclusion criteria
    Patients with an empty gestational sac, more than a sparse ongoing bleeding or cervical dilation as signs of ongoing miscarriage, mental instability after the diagnosis or any contraindication to medical treatment such as bleeding disorder or contraindication to any medication given during medical treatment will be excluded

    E.5 End points
    E.5.1Primary end point(s)
    Expulsion of miscarriage on the same day as treament
