Clinical trials

The European Union Clinical Trials Register   allows you to search for protocol and results information on:
  • interventional clinical trials that were approved in the European Union (EU)/European Economic Area (EEA) under the Clinical Trials Directive 2001/20/EC
  • clinical trials conducted outside the EU/EEA that are linked to European paediatric-medicine development

  • EU/EEA interventional clinical trials approved under or transitioned to the Clinical Trial Regulation 536/2014 are publicly accessible through the
    Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS).

The EU Clinical Trials Register currently displays   44334   clinical trials with a EudraCT protocol, of which   7366   are clinical trials conducted with subjects less than 18 years old.   The register also displays information on   18700   older paediatric trials (in scope of Article 45 of the Paediatric Regulation (EC) No 1901/2006).

Phase 1 trials conducted solely on adults and that are not part of an agreed paediatric investigation plan (PIP) are not publicly available (see Frequently Asked Questions ).

Examples: Cancer AND drug name. Pneumonia AND sponsor name.

    MedDRA Classification
E.1.3Condition being studied is a rare disease No
    E.2 Objective of the trial
    E.2.1Main objective of the trial
The purpose of this trial is to assess the differences in endometrial gene expression profiles of ovarian stimulation with recombinant hFSH versus both recombinant hFSH and hLH in poor responder patients
    E.2.2Secondary objectives of the trial
    The secondary objectives are:
    - To evaluate the differences in histologic analysis of the endometrium, based on the Noyes’ criteria.
    - To evaluate if there is a difference in the number of preovulatory follicles, number of MII oocytes, number of oocytes fertilized, number of good quality embryos and total dose of gonadotropins administered.
    - To compare clinical outcomes in both groups, including implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate and live birth rate.

    The exploratory objectives are
    - To study the differences of genes expression of cumulus cells (CC) be-tween both stimulation groups using full transcriptome analysis.
    - To study the differences of gene expression of cumulus cells in relation to embryo development using the same transcriptome data.
    - To evaluate the effect of LH supplementation on the endocrine profile in blood and follicular fluid (FF)
    E.2.3Trial contains a sub-study No
    E.3Principal inclusion criteria

E.5.1.1Timepoint(s) of evaluation of this end point
The endometrial biopsy will be taken 7 days after final oocyte maturation trigger. Gene expression analysis will occur once all samples have been collected.
